    Summer...why did it have to be summer? Not only did the roaches breed more often at this time of year (As Scrod rightfully said), but entering just about any enclosed structure was like entering a sauna for obsessive volcanologists – it was like the rumoured "greenhouse effect" of times gone by was actually occurring, only in an elevator.     I was certain that I was bleeding. Maybe it was the warm, lubricated sensation against my forehead, and the slight metallic smell that was unmistakeably blood. I was thankful that I spent my last payment on a deck of playing cards, since that would have been the only item of value in there. I cursed myself.
